Greatest Choke Ever

It was bound to happen sooner or later, no wait, no it wasn't. A number FIVE-ranked Division I NCAA football team is never, ever, ever supposed to lose AT HOME to any team belonging to the no politically correct-named Football Championship Division (who the "F" came up with that brilliant idea).

This upset is seriously up there with the greatest of all time. The US vs. Russia "Miracle on Ice", in my mind, might be the only thing that tops the enormity of the upset. The major, primetime colleges were already loading the schedules with the Division 1-AA Appalachian States of the world in order to avoid potential BCS ranking hiccups. What did Lloyd Carr have to say?

"What we have to do in a short time here is become a more disciplined team, a smarter team and a team that executes better," Carr said. (courtesy ESPN) I suppose now we get to see the Wolverines throw a Division II team on the sched for next year? Carr's understatement of the decade is flabergasting. I suppose he was too stunned to say anything else.

The only thing I have to say is: Jim Mora
