Can the Mavs Win 3 Straight?

After watching last nights playoffs games, Houston looks very poised to make a run in the playoffs this year. Right now, they have what they were missing all season long.....T-Mac healthy. I would not be suprised to see them in the finals. I think that Everyone is hopping on the Suns bandwagon a little too early.

Back to the topic of discussion, will the Mavs win 3 straight? All season long after every game, we have heard the Mavs talk about making it back to the finals, and gearing up for the playoffs. Now here they are, down 3 to 1 against the eight seed.

I know Nelly is a good coach, but that good? The Warriors are talented, but is a team that only won 40 games that talented?

After the drumming that Dallas has taken from Golden State, I still believe they have a legitimate chance to win the series. They play tonight at home with their backs against the wall, a game they should win. After the win tonight, they could build some confidence, and go to Golden State and win. That will leave them with one final game at home, and possibly a win.

Could it happen, yes. Will it happen, who knows. Dallas has the best worst scenario possible. If they win, its a great comeback against a team they never should have been down against. If they lose, we'll get to see Mark Cubans eye's pop out of his head.

Either way, relatively entertaining.

Personally I'm thinking the Mavs are screwed. Nellie is in Avery's head and Dirk is too busy complaining rather than just making plays. Crazy year. The Heat go down to the Bulls and now Golden State makes it out of the first round. U-G-L-Y. Suddenly the Spurs and Suns are looking pretty damn good. Especially the Suns.

Screwed? not screwed...not totally screwed at least. We have a team FULL of heart...it comes down to talent, grit, aggression and heart....can we do it? YES, will we? I hope...my mind says Mavs in 7, my heart is confused....I am going w/ Sir Charles!

Today, team full of heart. Tomorrow, team full of arti-CHOKE!

If the Mavs can't win today, at home, with their backs agianst the wall, I will officially denounce them as my favorite and hereby root for the bastard Spurs.

Ok maybe not root for the Spurs.

I will say this. If the Mavs lose it will mark the beginning of the meltdown for the entire franchise.

I agree 100%, if the Mav's piss this away, i will sit back in DISGUST as the franchise melts away and we become a hockey city (not that that is so great either) again. I agree w/ Reggie Miller....we blow them out today, then we have a good chance of winning in 7, if we win by a few points...we are GONE in six...I hate to say it, but if we dont advance, i will be rooting for the Suns....not the dirty Spurs...BTW, the Vegas line is Mavs by 9...who'd take the bet???/

Hockey city?

What about the Cowboys?

I am of the same mentality that Dallas needs to come out swinging and win big. However I think they could win by 2 or 3 and still take the series if Dirk puts up 35 or 40. He has got to get something going.

I don't think that shying away from Dirk and hoping others step up is the answer. Great players don't stop shooting cause the ball isn't going in the hole.

He's probably goin to be the freakin MVP of the league, he has got to get something done.

I hope he doesn't Romo it.

i know it....BTW, i hate the cowboys...until JJ is gone, forget them....thats just me....as far as the mavs go, which is the focus today....we HAVE to win, and i think WIN big....Dirk HAS to show up, stop bitching and whining and play his game...LIKE HE DID AGAINST SA IN LAST YEARS 2nd ROUND!!!! otherwise, his 20 pts will not carry us...Aside of that...my main question is this...I am a gambler and the mavs are FAVORED by 9 points....CAN THEY COVER? WILL THEY COVER...btw, i hold none of you responsible :) We need a big game from the big three w/ above average defense and the game is OURS....

I hope they cover...but don't think they will. All of the games other than the ass-stomping in Golden State have been close. They are going to come out more fired up than any game so far this series, but I wouldn't bet on that.

Heart says they will, stats say they don't.

appreciate the advice...i hate it, as a gambler, i sometimes tend to bet w/ the heart, not the facts/stats....its up to dirk! I truely believe it....Enjoy the game...see ya tomorrow to discuss a GAME 6 !!!!
