Black QB's Face More Criticism......Yea Right

Let me start off by saying I am neither black, nor have ever been or know the full pressures of quarterbacking in the NFL. With that said, Donavan McNabb is full of crap when he said that black NFL quarterbacks face more pressure, scrutiny and criticism than their white counterparts. If anything it is the complete opposite.

Heres a good comparison. Both Peyton Manning and John Elway were always under pressure from the media due to their big game let downs. Both were always labeled as one of those guys who could never win the big game, and didn't have what it takes. Neither of them bitched, they took the scrutiny, came back and were successful.

Donavan McNabb has been to the NFC championship game several times and lost, made it to the Superbowl and threw 3 crucial interceptions. He personally sent the trophy to New England, but how much heat did he take for that. None, because he is black. Is he labeled as the guy who can't win the big game? No, he has just had a couple of unfortunate breaks.

Maybe Donavan, the criticism your getting now isn't because your black, but because you are playing like shit. Maybe you should take a look at Rex Grossman and Eli Manning before you start wining and playing the race card.

spare me the "everything is equal" nonsense. if you have never been on the other side of the fence then how can you just discount someone else who lives on that "other" side feelings? do i think that mcnabb should just keep moving and let his performance speak for itself, yes. but clearly he has reached a point in his career where he felt it time to discuss his thoughts on being a black quarterback in the nfl. and as a man that is regarded with integrity and hard work, how about you just respect those thoughts, instead of dispelling them! cause you don't know!

Give me a break. McNabb has had his ass kissed his entire career and the second the critics start to rag on him he plays the race card. If he was all about integrity and hard work like you say, he quit bitching like a little girl.

Bet the Eagles are wishing they would have held on to Garcia a little longer huh?
